Weather permitting, and if your dog is OK with this situation, meet up as the Mini Italian Mafia visits Marymoor Park. This is a huge, well-maintained, and not-that-highly-used 40-acre park that is a great walk.

PLEASE NOTE: Marymoor is not for every IG. My dogs were on leash for quite awhile before I trusted them here. The park is not fully fenced as the entrance is open. Once you get to the center, where we will meet, it is less likely an IG will run out of the park--but if you have an escape artist we'd recommend a leash. Also, this is NOT a small-dogs-only area--there WILL be big dogs. There are always risks in such a situation so please protect your IG first! For those who are not sure about their IGs, keeping them on lead the first few times is highly recommended. I sure did! Letta is still allowed ONLY on leash.

All those caveats aside, we hope you can meet us to enjoy a great run. One of us will wait at the entrance at at 11:30 for 5 minutes or so, but the official Meetup will begin at the circular area at the center of the park at about 11:45. We will then walk the trails. Good directions to the park can be found at http://www.metrokc.gov/Parks/marymoor/

We have a regular Meet at Magnuson. This item sends in one notice with a reminder for two months. Interim dates are noted on the calendar but there will be no reminders to cut down on e-mails. This is a very friendly group and a great time, if you have a flexible schedule or a vacation day, we hope to see you for IG play and a good walk.

We meet every Wednesday, weather permitting at 1:30 p.m.. For January and February there will be a Meet at Magnuson each Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.:

March 4
March 11
March 18
March 25
April 1
April 8
April 15
April 22
April 29

If you have time on any of those days, please join us in the small dog area. After about half an hour some of us walk down the the water--but this IS in the big dog area and most dogs need to get used to that idea on leash AND they need to be able to stay close. It is a wonderful walk, but it does have some risks as some folks with big dogs don't watch them well. Some members usually choose to stay in the small dog area, so all options are open for IG play.

Weather permitting, bring your IGs to play at Fort Steliacoom. Please gather at the small-and-shy-dog area of Fort Steilacoom so the Iggies can run, jump, and all that in a very large small dog area.
This link gives good directions http://parkdogs.com/?... . After you enter the park from 87th keep driving straight back, past the first parking lots. You will see the people with dogs toward the end of this BIG park. Here is informaiton on the Fort http://fortsteilacoom...

Please join us to see the Three Dog Bakery's new, full-service cafe for dogs, complete with Doggy Java and bowl service! This will be a private Meetup for our group (IGs and small, IG-friendly family dogs only, please.) There will be a play area where the IGs can romp off their extra calories and chairs where the humans can sit.

If you respond that you are coming, there will be a place for you to say how many dogs you will have with you. Please do let us know--yunno, for the caterers!

Please join us at Spawz to watch the Iggies run and play together inside if the weather is wet and inside/outside if there is some sun.

Please use street parking, as the parking next to the venue is reserved for the restaurant.

If you haven't done so already, bring copy of proof of rabies vaccination with our name and your dogs name so Ann Marie can file it and you won't have to prove vaccination status each time. She is willing to consider exceptions for older dogs with a history of vaccinations and has exempted Logan who has autoimmune disease from the requirement. If you have any concerns about this requirement, please e-mail me and I'll see what we can work out.

There is a fee of $3.00 per dog payable to Spawz

Cost: $3.00
