We are being inundated with IG's">IG's in Texas and Oklahoma. The economy is putting dogs in Rescue via shelters and owner surrenders at an alarming rate. There are also many back yard and home breeders that are shutting down because they aren't making enough money. This, of course, is a good thing in and of itself; however, the burden then falls on Rescue to take up the reins and help these furkids find proper vet care and forever homes. Today, there are approximately 10 IGs waiting to come into care, including a pregnant female.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The above was written by one of the best Rescue Reps in the business, Kari Donald. She is in the trenches of Rescue and KNOWS exactly how bad the situation is. All of our Reps are being hammered. They are all up to their ears in dogs. At Rescue Central we are up to our eyeballs in bills. In terms of dollars and cents...what comes in is less than what is going out. It can't be helped. It's my job to balance the budget and I haven't been doing that lately. No one could. On the brighter side...there are some wonderful new items that will soon be appearing on the Rescue Merchandise list. Most of them aren't there yet....but they will be soon. Those items will help to pay the bills. Yesterday I told you about the satin trimmed Snuggle Bags. One lady has received hers already and simply couldn't believe the quality for under $18!!!!! Judy has fun dressing up Trixie and participating in doggie beauty contests. Trixie has already won more than her share <VBG> Some of the clothes that dogs wear in these contests cost hundreds of dollars.
